December 18, 1952 - June 18, 2014
Lee Ann Wickenheiser, 61, of Camp Hill died Thursday, June 18, 2014 at Harrisburg Hospital.
She was a 1971 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School. Before becoming a full time mother, she worked at Holy Spirit Hospital and for Dr. K. Won. She attended Trinity United Methodist Church, New Cumberland. Her life revolved around her beloved children and grandchildren.
She was born December 18, 1952 in Mechanicsburg to the late Lester and Christine (White) Shoffner.
She is survived by her husband Thomas L. The couple had been happily married for 40 years. Also surviving are a son, Ryan, and wife, Jody, of Camp Hill; a daughter, Erin Demey of Camp Hill; two sisters, Barb Shrawder of Conway, SC and Susan Calabrese of Mechanicsburg; her mother and father-in-law, Pat and Elston Wickenheiser of Camp Hill; five grandchildren, Kaity, Jarit "JJ", Andrew, Tommy, and Cole; and several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Viewing will be from 4 to 6 pm Sunday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am Monday at Trinity United Methodist Church, New Cumberland with Pastor Donald Slaybaugh officiating. Burial will follow in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
Lee Ann's family would like to acknowledge the nursing staff on the 7th floor at Harrisburg Hospital and Hospice of Central Pennsylvania for their compassionate and loving demeanor while providing the most professional and articulate care for Lee Ann during her month in their trusted care. She came to know them all by name and loved each and every caregiver she met. While practicing the intricate art of nursing, the clinical team willingly gave of themselves to both Lee Ann and her family.

Craig E. Seifert, 58, of Antioch, Tenn., passed away Saturday, Dec. 25, 2010. Born in Mechanicsburg to the late Lawrence and Ruth Seifert, he was preceded in death by his brother Steven Seifert. He was a graduate of Mechanicsburg High School.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Rowe Seifert; and children, Shannon (Richard) Lertola of Florida, Courtney (Jim) Pool and Kyle Seifert, all of Michigan, and Sean Seifert of Ohio; step-daughter, Danielle Curtis of North Carolina; 11 grandchildren; sister, Barbara (Jack) Scott; and brother, Kenneth (Ann) Seifert of Mechanicsburg.

Barbara Jean Bair, 71, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at home. Born May 31, 1953, in Mechanicsburg, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Therese (Matalavage) Shamansky.
Barbara was well-known and loved in her community, especially within the bowling circles. Her passion for bowling spanned most of her life, where she not only excelled as an avid bowler but also took on various leadership roles within local and regional bowling associations and leagues.
Barbara's commitment to the sport extended to her role as the Greater Harrisburg USBC association manager. She was particularly dedicated to the Youth Bowling programs at Trindle Bowling Center, where she found immense joy in coaching and mentoring young bowlers. Barbara's enthusiasm for the sport was contagious, and she was always eager to pass on her love for bowling to the next generation.
Barbara will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched through her work and her unwavering dedication to the sport of bowling.
Barbara is survived by her son, Stephen Bair and his wife Jillian of Carbondale, along with their four children: Charlotte, Michael, Elijah (EJ), and William. She is also survived by her brother, Thomas Shamansky and wife Cindy of Enola.
Visitation will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Malpezzi Funeral Home, 8 Market Plaza Way, Mechanicsburg.

Lucille Sholly Fought, 38, of Mechanicsburg died yesterday in Holy Spirit Hospital.
She was a Pennsylvania Blue Shield employee and a former dental assistant.
She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Camp Hill, and the Boot Scooters, Grantville.
Surviving are two daughters, Jaime Nicole and Josette Danielle, both at home; her parents, Robert L. and Helen M. Sholly, and a brother, William R. Sholly, all of Mechanicsburg; and a sister, Kathleen M. Schell of Camp Hill.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Myers Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg. Burial will be in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight and 1 to 2 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.

Linda J. Connors
Linda J. Connors, 51, of Hampden Township, died Thursday, August 11, 2005 at her home.
Born October 3, 1953 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, she was a daughter of Richard G. Steele of Mechanicsburg and the late Jean M. Kleckner Steele.
She was the manager of Isaac's Restaurant, Silver Springs Commons; was an avid bowler and golfer; a member of the Mechanicsburg Area Church League of Bowling and Suds and Clubs Golf League.
In addition to her father, Linda is survived by her husband, David P.; two sons, David P. Jr., of Enola and Timothy W. of New Cumberland; her maternal grandmother, Pearl Kleckner of Allentown; a sister, Deb Mason; a brother, Ken Steele, both of Mechanicsburg; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Malpezzi Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg. Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery. There will be a viewing from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

John James Tamalavage, 59, of Pottsville and formerly of Mechanicsburg, died Sunday, April 14, 2013 at home. Born December 9, 1953, in Pottsville, he was the son of the late John J. and Mildred M. (Zerdy) Tamalavage of New Philadelphia and Mechanicsburg.
A graduate of Mechanicsburg HS, and HACC, he received a BA in accounting from Penn State University. He retired as an audit specialist from Bureau of Financial Operations of the Commonwealth of PA Department of Public Welfare.
An avid reader of world history, periodicals and online newspapers, he regularly contributed and published blog comments to the New York Times and Reuters on global political and financial issues. He enjoyed traveling, cinema, scuba diving, crabbing, the ocean, beach and fitness activities, and the family tradition of extensive tomato gardening.
He was a member of the Stone Harbor Wetlands Institute, Friends of Gettysburg, a NOAA storm-tracker volunteer and the Penn State Alumni Association.
His loving smile, light-hearted humor and incredible generosity will be treasured by those who knew him.
Surviving are his wife, Rita M. Shevokas Tamalavage and daughter Anne Elizabeth Tamalavage; a sister,Judith (husband of John) Remiszewski of Duluth, GA; an aunt, Catherine Cowley Fridrich and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg where there will be a visitation from 10:00 a.m. The Rev. Louis P. Ogden will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.

Larry Thomas Wagner
An Outdoors Kind of Guy -
Larry Thomas Wagner, age 65, of Steelton, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016. Larry was born on Monday, August 6, 1951 in Harrisburg to Susan Pearl (Mellott) Wagner and the late John Richard Wagner, Sr. Larry was the widower of Kathy Sue (Miller) Wagner, who died on April 12, 2006. In addition to his father and wife, Larry is preceded in death by his brother, John ‘Dick” Richard Wagner, Jr.
Larry’s survivors include his daughter, Elicia Ann Rogers and her husband, Theodore, of Adkins, TX; his two grandsons: Justin Miller, Shane Rogers; his mother, Susan Pearl (Mellott) Wagner; his sister, Sherry Groff; and his beloved 13 year-old beagle, Courtney Sue.
Larry was a member of Shepherdstown United Methodist Church in Mechanicsburg. He was a former correctional officer at Dauphin County Prison and Larry was a member of the Middletown Anglers’ and Hunters’ Club. Larry was an outdoors kind of guy who loved fishing and having campfires where he could cook hotdogs and marshmallows. He held many memories of spending time outdoors. Some of these included camping, fishing, swimming in the creek, and sleeping under the stars. Larry was a guy’s guy who enjoyed being a member of gun clubs and collecting guns. He was also quite the jokester and known as “Crazy Larry” to many of his friends and family. Larry and his wife adored one another and even wrote each other love notes. They are now together again and together forever; doing all the things they loved like hunting and fishing.
All are welcome to join Larry’s family at his viewing on Sunday, December 18, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Reverend Dr. Timothy R. Baer officiating. Burial will follow in Wenksville Cemetery in Biglerville. Larry’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at Elkhorn Inn following the burial.
In memory of Larry’s life, the family asks that everyone goes fishing with someone and spends special time in front of a campfire with some hotdogs and marshmallows.

Laurie L. Williams, 42, of 1358 Sand Hill Road, Hershey, died Saturday, Sept 16, 1995, in her home after a lengthy illness with breast cancer.
Born June 30, 1953, in Louisiana, she was a daughter of the Rev. Paul and Frances Williams of Mechanicsburg.
In addition to her parents, surviving are her sister, Shawn Corcetti of Knox and one niece and two nephews.
She was a practicing attorney with her law office in Hershey; a member of the St. Stephen’s Episcopal Cathedral, Harrisburg; a member of the American Bar Association, and Dauphin County Bar Association; National Organization for Women; vice president of the board of directors of the former Women in Crisis group of Dauphin County; a longtime member of the Hemlock Girl Scout Council; and graduated from Mechanicsburg High School, Wilson College, Chambersburg, and Dickinson School of Law, Carlisle.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in her church.
Cremation Society of Pennsylvania has charge of the arrangements.

Gerald E. Yocum, age 50, of Dillsburg, died Wednesday evening, at the Holy Spirit Hospital.
He was born December 24, 1952 in Mechanicsburg, PA, the son of Chester L. Yocum and Esther M. Sherley Winger.
He was a School Bus Driver for Kauffman Bus Service, Inc. He was formerly employed at Super Rite Foods as a Truck Driver and B&S Transportation Co., as a School Bus Driver. He was a life member of the Upper Allen Township Fire Department, Past Fire Chief and member of the Monaghan Township Fire Company and the PA Fire Police Association.
He is survived by his wife, Janice E. Sealover Yocum; his father and step-mother, Chester and Mary Jane Yocum of Mechanicsburg; his mother, Esther M. Winger of Harrisburg; his daughters, Sherrie L. Kozar and Shelly A. Yocum, both of Mechanicsburg and Sheryl M. Yocum of Apache Junction, AZ; his step-children; Donald J. Shambaugh of York Springs, Karen E. Briar of Hummelstown and Kathy M. Jones of Dillsburg; his brother, Mark A. Yocum of Harrisburg; his sisters, Shirley O. Haas and Doris J. Ward, both of Harrisburg and 9 grandchildren.
Services will be held on Monday at 2 p.m., at the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut Street, Dillsburg, PA, with the Reverend Thomas Shatto, officiating. Burial will be in the Dillsburg Cemetery, Mountain Road. A viewing will be held Monday, from 1-2 p.m., at the funeral home.
